At first he writes : "I'm very romantic guy" and you believe him.

Then he started to ask questions : if you smoke, if you drink, how often do you drink, if you doing for sport, what literature do you read, what is your occupation, what is your routine.........,,,,,,,and other provocative 1001 questions more.

At first you cannot understand what's going on? If that guy who writes to you is really romantic or he works in security.???? Then you've learned that he needs romance. Something's wrong with my feelings... or a westerner is so mercantile that he cannot make romance with a woman when he doesn't know answers to 1001 questions.???
Or we russians wrong understand the meaning of this word. Can anyone explain to me ?

Hmmm.... doesn't sound too romantic to me! But then it's a quick way for them to find out about you, and the questions say a lot about them! Not very romantic I agree, but then I for example would hate to get deeply into a "romance" with someone on the 'net and then find out that the a. smoked (i'm allergic) or b. didn't want children (my #1 dream is to have a family). So it's important sometimes to get all the "mechanical" things out of the way before moving on to more things.

Still 1001 questions is perhaps a few too many :-)

So tell me, what is romance to a russian woman? To do this australian man it's flowers and candlelight dinners and walks on the beach hand in hand. I think the same to most people ....

Romance - is a short love story.
Candelight? - no, a bright sunny day.
dinners ??? No. Only with hungry bellies. Flowers? We should manage without them...
Moreover some are allergic because of their smell...

Why should a woman write to a man answers to 1001 questions to have a short love story with him after all ? Is it really important - what kind of literature she prefers ?Is it really important if she wants to have children or doesn't want? Is it really important what kind of flowers she likes? Yes, she can asure him that she wants to have a lot of children, but after spending several days with him she would escape and do forget about her promisses to have a lot of children.I think it's no use to discuss this problem . I know several women, they married Italians. They wanted to have children but couldn't. Now they are given a proper treatment and maybe will have them in future. Why a man cannot have romance with a woman if she doesn't want to have children ? she might not think of this topic. If a man wants to have children, he should convince her.

I think a man, who asks 1001 questions, doesnt know himself what he wants to have in reality.Probably he needs only a short foggy romance over the net - their feelings are unclear and that's why are very romantic. And he asks, asks, asks.Or his soul is very lazy.Or he needs only corresponding over the net. I don't think that he will stop with his questions after a short love story. If a man is very curious - ??? ??????? :))) And the more questions he will ask, the shorter will be romance :))))(with a russian woman - in my mind)

Who Stirs The Cloud

The world turns, and where once the day,

Cast blessed sunbeams to the ground.

Night falls with stardust cold and grey.

Hushed somnambulists wander, bereft of sound.

Within my deepest dreams I take flight,

A pale rider upon a wisp of cirrus cloud

Swiftly traversing my sleep in night

And calling, calling your name out loud.

Restless must be the lonely whom in sleep,

Shall upon dreaming, a tryst keep.

And when within a windless sky

The clouds still pass to obscure the moon,

There within that magic moment, gone too soon

Is the proof, for who stirs the cloud, none but I.

by Tris,
a romantic Westerner
