Otpustee,Olya! You're adding something to this Forum. I don't know what it is but it is definitely something.
About the USA, I defer to the opinion of my colleagues and will wait for their comments.
You like "Gone With The Wind"? My cousin, Gene Mitchell is the nephew of the woman who wrote the book, Margaret Mitchell. For me, the book's too thick (more than two knuckles) but it is a good picture of a very sad time in our country, the Civil War, where more Americans died than in all other wars combined.
You're right of course, Kostia is cute, if you like the type.

hello Olga of the most outstanding things for me is the variety of cultures that can be combined to one community. I live in colorado a beatiful state I have traveled all over this state for 40 years since I was a little boy and I travel a lot. I have not seen it all I am always finding something new to do or to see. I have hiked hundreds of miles here and that is minute. we can travel from state to state and never have to show any papers to any one as long as you obey the traffic laws and then its no big deal if you don't have the paper work "insurance,lis......" with you you simply send copys to the state you need to. there is so much freedom that Amercians take for granted. It is so true that here if you have the drive and desire and the willingness to work hard you can make your deams come true. I think it is the best place in the world to live at least for me. This may sound irresponsible for many people but I have lived in my surounding neighbor hood off and on for 50 years my grand parents never locked the front door,My parents never locked the front door, I have never locked the front door. the only time I lock up is if I am going to be away over night Nothing has every happened nothing stolen, no one hurt, no one has ever come in with out permission. I know that this may change in the future and most likely will as this community grows but its been a great 50 years. and I hope for 50 more. I hope I have given you some insite.

Unfortunately I've never been to USA but I have chat with some Americans and I'm really pleasantly surprised by their aspiration to romanticism in relationships. They value women's weekness and consider that a man must support and take care of his spouse all his life.
So I admire the American men and wish them to find a real happiness with a real Russian woman. I think they meet the needs of each other!

Polina, you're right,most American men are very romantic in their aspirations, but many of our women, now more and more financially independent, feel that they can lead lives on their own. It is a problem with us where 50 per cent of the first marriages lead to divorce, and 60% of the second marriages, for those willing to try again. Maybe that explains our interest in women of Eastern Europe.
