I didn't mean money buys happiness. I meant Americans are not scammers because they don't have to be. Americans as a country are not POOR. SO RESPECT OUR AUTHORITY.

You live close to the most impoverished place--the Appalachian mountains. There are many more poor places in the US-most of them small midwest towns. The states of Montana,North and South Dakota,Wyoming,Nebraska--these are places where the average yearly wage does not go above 30,ooo dollars. 30,000 USD dollars allows you to live meagerly and not extravagantly--unless there are more than one person who works in the home--which is more usual now than ever before.

Usualy girls who ask for money have more than minimum and even enough for to live... Sadly.

I think I painted the situation very bad... One little correction. The situation is changing. Slowly, but changing. Some successful managers can even have $10000 per month. I believe people who want to earn more have the possibility.

But there is much that money will not buy. Love and the closeness of family. ANd I am certain many of you ladies do not have to pay 600 dollars a month for rent like I do. A chicken will cost 5-7 dollars. I wait for corn to be on special sale,or it is 3 for a dollar. Meat especially irritates me. Beef is never for sale under 1.49 a pound. I just bought work shoes ( which just broke) and they were 30 dollars ( cheap! ) When I used to hunt for deer and elk,the bullets were 1 dollar apeice! I currently earn about 50,000 USD per year--but the manager of a Walmart can make 3 times that! What I must earn to pay for my apartment is 1500 dollars a month ( food,electricity,telephone,internet) The best deal I have is the property I own in Montana--and it is 160 dollars a year for the tax. When I put a house on it--the tax will be about 2000 dollars a year. You probably hear that Americans work too much--but this is what must happen to live here. I have not even mentioned gasoline and auto insurance. Katy`enka--if some managers make 10000 dollars a month--I know I am living in the wrong vountry!!

I'm young, beautiful and happy... need nothing more... Happyness isn't thing you can buy or find... it's condition of soul... go out your home... look at the sun... and think "I'm alive... It's great!" And I'm sure you'll feel happyness although for a moment...

Hmmm ... a ditto from an acquaitance, that raised some serious questions. Americans seem to be rich in financial (working for the Yankee dollar) capital - although the economic statistics don't prove it, compared to say France - but very poor in culture - cultural capital. Lets not suffer from the politics of envy.

I will give you a short summary of my working trade income. In the state of Montana--my job as a journeyman plumber is 17-22 USD per hour. Here in Phoenix,the same work is about 30 USD per hour. In Chicago,Illinois,the working wage for a plumber is 40-55 dollars per hour. What our British cousins and the rest of the world do not understand is that America is richly diverse in both geography and economy. You are correct in your estimation of the average Yank who knows little about the rest of the world. Most students sleep through boring social studies. But reading is,and has always been the key to learning. I notice most people--universally,have little interest in history,and tend to read fiction and fantasy. I am not one of these. Even though I have been accused of being a collegiate learner,I dropped out of high school 5 times,finally graduating and going to trade schools. I consider myself very knowledgable about other cultures,but this is because of self-interest in sociological matters. The key to learning from an individual is listening. Then afterwards expounding on the subject of interest and asking questions. I believe this is also the first step towards international peace.
