There is no greater love than from he that would lay his life down for a friend. Love is really sexless. I had a cat that I loved. Maybe somebody had a turtle! Maybe it is also a male friend from childhood or your grandpa. But to love unconditionally----or to love without expectation or control---or to love one`s self? I like what Gibran wrote--that love is "life`s longing for itself". I believe that love is a state of mind which is projected in varying depth by different people.
